When we first came to Canada, we were deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery and fascinating customs. As first-generation immigrants, we wanted to do something special for this land. Vancouver, in addition to great mountains and waters, is world famous for its diverse food culture. The wide variety of ethnic cuisines, include Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and more. However, in this food rich city there are few traces of Taiwanese food. So, we decided to introduce Taiwan’s signature beef noodle soup dish (New Row Mian in Chinese) to Vancouver. Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup is an Asian delicacy. So, if you like Vietnamese Pho, or Japanese Ramen, then you will love our authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Enjoy chunks of meat and slippery noodles in a tasty broth with assorted classic cold and deep-fried side dishes.

ABOUT US:
Ding Hao Noodle House was established in 2007 in Coquitlam, BC. The owner/chef was an apprentice at Taiwan’s beef noodle soup flagship restaurant—Lao Shan Dong Beef Homemade Noodle House. Our comfortable dining environment, traditional cooking style, friendly service and reasonable prices are our trademark. We pay special attention to cleanliness in every area in order to break the stereotype that Chinese restaurants are greasy and unsanitary. Fraser Health has rated us very highly for the past decade. FOOD QUALITY
We use local Vancouver ingredients. Creating authentic tasting Taiwanese food is a challenge because the different climates of Taiwan and Canada produce different products.
We use only the best Canadian Grade A beef. Because the flame-like pattern of the muscle is marbled evenly, it is rich in protein, and almost fat-free. It tastes amazingly refreshing. (In contrast, the tendon pattern of the cheaper beef which we refuse to use is uneven, making it dry and tough.)
We select natural ingredients –beef bones, tendons, and shanks, along with onions, vegetables, and our secret ingredients.
We braise the beef, using an exclusive recipe, so the beef does not taste greasy.
We slow simmer the broth infused with secret ingredients in the traditional Taiwanese method to produce our aromatic beef broth.
We never use MSG or artificial chemical soup mix, knowing that while these concentrates are faster and cheaper, they have negative health effects.
The end product is a soup that must include fresh healthy beef broth, delicious chunks of meat, and authentic noodles.
Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup has been our signature dish for more than a decade. HISTORY:
Ding Hao Noodle House is modeled after Lao Shan Dong Homemade Noodle House. Lao Shan Dong Homemade Noodle House is one of the most traditional Taiwanese beef noodle houses, having been in Taiwan for 70 years. The famous Michelin Guide’s International Food Reviewer visited Taiwan in 2017. For them Lao Shan Dong Homemade Noodle House stood out among thousands of beef noodle restaurants. Bibidan Recommendation List by Michelin Guide’s only includes restaurants that serve excellent quality food with reasonable prices. Lao Shan Dong Homemade Noodle House has been listed for past two years which means that our food is affirmed by an international food guide. We are once again convinced that pure taste does not need to follow modern trends.
